Complete Lawn Care Service
Outlined below is a description of our services for the 2010 season.
Due to the increased mechanical and cultural application techniques, some services are priced based on time. Best results are achieved through regular service visits that will promote overall turf health and provide the best defense against weed and insect infestations.
Turf Management
This service forms the core of the new program. The Turf Management service provides a complete fertilization, as well as broadleaf weed maintenance (through manual removal and/or other means). This service is recommended 4 times annually (spring, early summer, late summer and fall) and will provide the necessary fertility and ongoing weed management to keep your lawn looking its best.
Weed Reduction
This service provides up to 10 minutes of broadleaf weed control per 1,000 sq.ft. of lawn area (through manual removal and/or other means) to reduce the weed population and help prevent spreading and germination of new weeds. This service is designed to replace “traditional weed spraying” for properties that are not on a regular program. This service is recommended 1-2 times per year or consider “Turf Management Services”.
Early, Mid, Late Season Fertilizers
These services are granular applications of our “Custom Blended” slow release premium lawn fertilizer designed to feed the lawn throughout the season and provide needed nutrients for growth, colour and root development. They are the backbone of any healthy turf program promoting stronger resistance to weeds, insects and drought. They also help improve recovery from stress.
Insect Treatments
We have had great results with our “Summer Solution”, which contains a variety of plant extracts that increase the lawns resistance to chinch bug infestations. We also offer nematode treatments for both grubs and crane fly.
Summer Insect Inspection
We will examine your lawn for summer insects (primarily chinch bugs). Should insects be found we would return within 72 hours to treat using our “Summer Solution” application at an additional charge. Treatments will automatically follow inspection only if insect infestations are found.
Core Aeration
This process involves removing small cores from the lawn, which allows for better air, nutrient and water flow to the root system while breaking up thatch and loosening compact soils. It can be done in the spring or fall and is recommended annually as an essential maintenance practice for a healthy lawn.
Broadcast Seeding
This seeding service is designed to thicken existing turf and generate new growth.
Included is a double aeration and broadcast seeding over the lawn. It benefits lawns in already good shape by increasing density, and providing the latest grass genetics of disease and insect resistance.
Slit Seeding
A premium seeding designed to create new turf growth. A mechanical seeder cuts tiny slits in the ground and drops seed directly into the soil. This includes aerating prior to slit seeding and a seed starter fertilizer. It benefits lawns that need a little extra help in filling in weak and bare areas so that regular lawn care maintenance visits have increased benefits.
Organic Turf Builder
This is a process in which organic pelletized organic compost is applied on your lawn. In addition to the organic compost, your lawn is aerated in two directions, premium grass seed and a quality fertilizer is applied. This process benefits your lawn by adding much needed organics, increasing drought resistance in the grass plants and stimulating microbial activity where soil health may be poor. This service is best suited for marginal lawns that are new to lawn care and should be booked along with a program.
