Outlined below is a description of our services for the 2011 season.

Best results are achieved through regular service visits that will promote overall turf health and provide the best defense against weed and insect infestations.

spring, summer, fall Fertilizers

This service is a granular application of our “Custom Blended” slow release premium lawn fertilizer, designed to feed the lawn throughout the seasons and provide needed nutrients for growth, colour and root development. Fertilizer applications are the backbone of any healthy turf program promoting stronger resistance to weeds, insects and drought. They also help improve recovery from stress.

Core Aeration

This process involves removing small cores from the lawn, which allows for better air, nutrient and water flow to the root system while breaking up thatch and loosening compact soils. It should be done in the spring and is recommended annually as an essential maintenance practice for a healthy lawn.

Fiesta Weed Application

This Eco friendly alternative is an all-natural, iron based weed control product that manages most, but not all the weeds in your lawn. Some re-growth may occur therefore we recommend repeating it a second time 4 weeks after the original application for best results. You will see blackening of most weeds within 48 hours and is people/pet friendly after 1-2 hours of drying.

summer chinch bug inspection and management

We will examine your lawn for summer insects (primarily chinch bugs). Should insects be found we will automatically treat the lawn using our “Summer Solution” application at an additional charge. We have had great results with our “Summer Solution”, which contains a variety of plant extracts that increase the lawns resistance to chinch bug infestations.

Grub or Cranefly Treatment

We offer nematode treatments for both grubs and cranefly. Nematodes are natural, beneficial microscopic organisms, harmless to people and pets. When applied to the lawn they move through the soil and seek out the targeted insects infecting them with a bacteria which kills the insect. Watering is required for best results. This treatment reduces the total insect population in the lawn to minimize lawn stress.

Organic Turf Builder

This is a process in which your lawn is aerated in two directions, premium grass seed is applied, followed by pelletized organic compost. In addition a quality fertilizer is applied for added nutrients and seed germination. This process benefits your lawn by adding much needed organics, increasing drought resistance in the grass plants and stimulating microbial activity where soil health may be poor. It also thickens existing turf and helps fill in weak spots by generating new growth. This service is best suited for marginal lawns that are new to lawn care and should be booked along with a program.
